Space with Serena

Counselling & Psychotherapy

I’ve completed 4 years of training in Transactional Analysis (TA) psychotherapy and am currently working towards UKCP accreditation. I am in private practice offering counselling and psychotherapy to adults and am a member of the UKCP and UKATA.

Services:

I provide in-person sessions in Chorlton and Cheadle Hulme, Manchester.

I have experience working with: loneliness, emotional distress, relationships, work-life balance, anxiety, self-esteem, sexuality, cultural identity, grief and bereavement.

Everyone has their own unique personal history. Working from an integrative perspective enables me to draw upon a variety of techniques to suit your individual needs and development.  The therapeutic relationship between client and therapist is fundamental for growth and it is co-created together.

Transactional Analysis therapy helps you to understand yourself more cohesively. It’s a model of communication and personal development enabling you to explore how you’ve come to be who you are today and empowering you towards growth, change and transformation.

About:

I’m a respectful and welcoming person, who is deeply interested in and committed to psychotherapeutic work. In my practice, I know the importance of creating and holding a safe space for people to speak about their personal experiences. Working with me will be collaborative where you can talk openly in a confidential and compassionate space. I believe in the benefits of self-awareness which helps us to build better ways of relating to others and ourselves.

Areas of particular interest to me are unconscious relational patterns, attachment, generational experiences, culture and intersectionality. Being of dual heritage myself, I am curious as to how place and culture affect us psychologically.
